Hiya, kids! Well, I’m a bit late with this month’s mix tape, and I promise I have a good reason, and well, here it is: You see, as I was selecting songs for this month’s mix I couldn’t decide on what sort of theme I wanted to go with. I built four or five different song lists since the middle of October, ranging from Halloween inspired songs to hardcore/screamo/metal/etc. to mostly slow songs again, and anyway, I scrapped all of those ideas.
Before I knew it, it was November 1st and I still did not have a mix that I could be proud to share with the few of you who download them. So, I got my act together and selected a bunch of songs that have been in my head for the last 2 weeks, and while trying to sequence them I realized that about 16 of the 20 I had chosen can be woven together to tell a story.
And so, here we are. This month’s mix is somewhat inspired by (500) Days of Summer, in that it is NOT a love story, but rather the story of a relationship that many of us know very well. The story is told through the lyrics of each song, and because of this, I have included the lyrics for each song in a Word document for all of you to follow along with and enjoy. **And just so everyone knows, I’m not claiming these lyrics to be mine, I have merely arranged the songs in a way so that a whole story can be interpreted through the songs collectively.**
