sdupreebemis:

So I’ve been asked what my favorite song of 2011 was a few times and though I had many, most of them were released at the end of 2011 (Mute Math’s ‘Prytania’, Say Anything’s ‘Burn A Miracle’) OR not released officially, yet at all (my sister Christie DuPree’s new EP, or my sister Stacy’s new album…both coming out in 2012!) so It was instantly I knew my favorite song of 2011 was easily…*drum roll*

“No Sound For You” by Marksmen (who we toured with briefly in 2011 and who we will be touring with again, this coming Spring).

Being involved in the music industry since I was 15 or so It’s so easy to become slightly jaded when it comes to new bands and music because you’re surrounded by it 24/7…but the first time Christie put in the Marksmen EP (in the bandwagon on tour at the beginning of 2011) I had to crawl out of my bunk to go ask what it was because I was like “Holy ****, this is really good, whatever it is!”…and the song was ‘No Sound For You’…

It was definitely my most listened to song/album of the year.

Not bad, not bad. A little disappointed I missed this album this year.
